Linear Equations and Slope – We reviewed how to find the x and y-intercepts from an equation and a graph.
Solving Algebraic Equations – We worked on completing Khan academy assignments. We completed problems involving combining like terms on both sides of the equal sign.

Algebraic Equations with 2 Operations – We reviewed how to solve 2-step algebraic equations.
Investigate Bivariate Data – We learned how to draw a trendline on a scatter plot. Then we practiced identifying strong and weak positive and negative associations.
Relations and Functions – We practiced identifying relations that were and were not functions from tables, arrow diagrams, and graphs.

Khan Academy
We completed some Khan Academy assignments on finding the slope from the change in y divided by the change in x. The points on the line were obtained from a table. Then we went over how to find the x and y intercepts from 2 equations with 2 unknowns.

We worked on finding the slope by using 2 points on the line. Then we determined the y-intercept from the graph of a line and the slope-intercept equation. Next, we practiced putting equations in the slope-intercept form.

Understand the Slope-Intercept form of a Line – We learned to interpret a graph of a linear relationship to find its y-intercept and slope. Then we analyzed graphs in context to determine and explain the meaning of the y-intercept. The y-intercept of a line is the y-coordinate of the point where the graph of the line crosses the Y axis. Its meaning depends on the context of the graph. We completed several Khan Academy assignments on this topic and solving 2-step algebraic equations.

I planned for math.

We worked on solving proportions by cross multiplying. We worked on finding the rate of change or constant of proportionality from tables, pictures, and graphs. We also completed descriptions of proportional and non-proportional relationships.

We worked on problem solving where we defined the equations. We learned to define our unknowns with variables and combine like terms to solve for the variable.

We worked on setting up equations to solve word problems. We practiced defining a variable, setting up equations, and solving the equations. We discovered that the answer to the equation may not be what the problem is asking for. We completed Jonathan’s homework to be turned in tomorrow.

Using Equations to Solve Work Problems – Jonathan and I worked on setting up variables to define what we were looking for in word problems. Then we defined the algebraic equations to determine the answers to the questions. We worked on solving the algebraic equations using multiplication and division.
