Jason worked on a Halloween search and find. He used a key to locate the number of each designated Halloween-themed image in the picture, finding and coloring each image a different color to help find the totals. Then, we played a Halloween-themed board game to review number concepts to 999 on even and odd, order of numbers, and more than and less than.
Jason and I continue to play baseball together.
Each class period I remind him about the different bases and how to run them correctly.
We also talk about the different positions and what each position player does.
Jason completed his interactive calendar activities, and changed it from October to November. He read and discussed his vocabulary words. He finished his daily sentence puzzle. He participated in an experiment using candy corn. He predicted which substance out of 4 would dissolve the candy corn the fastest.
Jason was invited to watch a student practice a speech he had prepared and was to deliver at lunch later today. He was directed to listen to the speech respectfully. Jason was invited to ask any questions following the presentation, and asked a relevant question. Following the speech, we proceeded back to the classroom where he worked on an activity sheet. He was tasked with filling in the missing numbers on a grid, using the operations of addition and subtraction to do so. Jason did well on the task but prompts helped him to redirect his focusing skills towards more purposeful behavior.
