This morning, Alexandra counted the pieces of a new dinosaur puzzle before putting it together. Then, she worked on a dinosaur sticker craft to help reinforce number recognition, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration. She matched the numbers on the dinosaur sticker of her choice to the colored gems on the instruction sheet. Then, she carefully removed the gems and placed them on the corresponding numbers.

Alexandra had her first class today, which was a "getting to know you" session. We talked about her artistic interests, and she expressed a deep love for unicorns and dinosaurs. She created an abstract marker drawing, experimenting with color and composition, showing a free-spirited and imaginative approach to art. We spent the last ten minutes watching and analyzing an episode of The Land Before Time, using it as a discussion point for animation techniques and artistic storytelling.

Please note: This is the summary for Wednesday, March 19.
First, I read a book to Lexi about colors and then she asked to read it; as it involved repetitive phrases and picture clues, it facilitated Lexi's ability to read along. Next, she participated in a guided reading exercise and read the words putting her finger underneath each word as she read it. She then drew a picture using the colors that were identified in the book.
