Today, we talked about how the Constitution established the separation of powers. We discussed the checks and balances as well as the succession plan for the executive branch.
We learned more about the Constitution and also compared and contrasted state and local powers. Andrew completed an in-class assignment over the structure of the Constitution.
Andrew selected an amendment from the Constitution - the 4th amendment (unreasonable searches and seizures) and the 8th amendment (excessive bail shall not be required). Andrew was tasked with writing a 1-2 page explanation of how it came to be and what the US might be like without it. Andrew was also tasked to include any major court cases related. Submit via Microsoft Teams when completed.
