Andrew worked on a practice standardized test today.
He did great work on the test eventually getting to the correct answer each time. He was also very creative in his reasoning which helped him to eliminate incorrect answers.
Dutch completed the Reading Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension portion of the Standford Achievement Practice Test. We went over how to bubble in the answers and the importance of making sure the number of the question he was answering and the number of the answer he was shading in were the same.

Dutch was resistant to take the practice test saying he was tired and asking me to bubble in the numbers for him. I told him that was an important part of the practice. He did the first two subtests.
Marcel started by completing a warm-up activity. His task was to digitally create an object from the room. He chose to create the whiteboard. He remembered how to use the functions of the software quite well.
We talked about knowing the audience for a 3D object project and how that influences the project.
I taught Marcel about the Group and Subtract features of the software.
He then started to work on creating a digital rendering of a chess piece of his own design.
Jayne created an acrostic poem for her mother for Mother's Day. She used the letters in the word mother for the poem. Jayne and I went on a nature walk. She expressed an appreciation for nature's beauty and a desire for others to take care of the environment.
