We discussed the difference of running a presidential campaign as an incumbent versus challenger. We discussed how and why those races are different.

Ben and I discussed social policy and what it means. How does it affect people and who implements and why? We used policy from hundreds of years ago as an example.

Libby used magnetic letters to fill in letters on words by sounding the letters. She used Twistables and writing paper to practice sight words (the, on, and) and short vowel words. We reviewed the Magic School Bus books. I read some Jack Prelutsky poems.

Chris wrote his spelling words in his journal. We read pages 193-199 in his book. We discussed the way the author showed when the character was reflecting on a memory. We discussed how to recognize dialog and how it helps the story.
