Ben and I studied how American citizens are treated via transportation. We learned what the FAA does and how the citizens of country can travel inside and outside the country. We also learned how the executive branch is responsible for travel.
Ben and I learned about state and federal mandates. We learned who is responsible for road construction as a case study. Interstate commerce and travel is handled by federal government while local roads are handled by states.
Chris took his spelling test. We discussed The Giver from last year and what science fiction was in it. We reviewed this week's story. Chris wrote a sequel to it.
Chris wrote sentences for his spelling words. We reread The Brave Little Toaster. We completed a plot diagram for the story.

Chris told me that he was tired because he didn't sleep well. He said that Thomas sleeps with his mother, and he was worried that Thomas would roll over on his mother's injured arm.
Chris also asked me if he can change his last name when he is 18. He refers to his dad as "Chris."
