This afternoon we began the section on sexual reproduction and the formation of haploid and diploid cells. We briefly discussed how the replication of somatic cells is fundamentally different from the production of gametes or sex cells. Homework is to read only pages 117-123.
This afternoon we focused on developing a Backpack Checklist to help Bobby establish a daily routine with the hope that this will reduce the number of times he has appeared at school without essential learning tools. We will reinforce and share with his father upon our return after the holiday.
This morning we picked up where we left off by reviewing how we handle negative exponents and exponential expressions with zero as an exponent. We practiced problems on page 199 before getting started on the homework for the long holiday weekend. Homework is to read pages 203-204 and complete #'s 3-14 and 32-39.
We will take some time to review and reflect on the videos that we watched in the last session. I will discuss with Bobby the differences between each and see if he noticed the similarities in each story.
I will discuss with Bobby the reason for showing him these videos and how they relate to the upcoming projects. Since Bobby has a true passion for business he will be shown and given real-life examples of successful businesses such as Nike and Beats.

Complete a Bio for himself and the business that he is creating. Create a buy-in for potential customers.
This morning we reviewed the homework on page 39 before continuing with our lesson. The focus of our lesson today centered on the improvements in agricultural engineering or methodologies which prompted early civilizations to become more sedentary allowing for greater expansion of culture, art and architecture. Homework is to read pages 40-44 and complete #'s 1-2 and 1-4.
Bobby continues his 2nd floor plan. He draws the interior walls for all of his bedrooms and bathrooms. Next he shows proper symbols for all the windows. We watch a video of wood frame construction that shows by time lapse photography how walls, windows, and door openings are provided. Good Session.
