Sophie had some difficulty on the last part of the paper but after working on it together it came out quite well.

Sophie is much more engaged with this kind of hands-on project than with any other's we've done. Overall, she's more likely to contribute original ideas about the process and how to present it to the audience, so I can tell that she's internalizing the process more than with previous assignments.

Sophie and I laughed about the metaphor because it sounds really wonderful, but when you really think about it, it's hard to make any meaning of, particularly in the context of the book... it was fun. She is a very bright girl.
