Sophie worked very hard today. She was able to finish the vocabulary and worked on Ser and Estar. We did the worksheet together. She was able to understand the concept without too much difficulty. She went through the vocabulary cards and able to define them all without problems. She began and finshed her homework during class.

Sophie had trouble focusing and clearly lacks confidence (deflecting is a good way to avoid an uncomfortable encounter). We are getting somewhere and I was pleased to see that she did do her reading assignment (recall that she didn't the first day; she said that she fell asleep reading).

Sophie did a good job today. She was able to get all of the vocabulary written out. She was unable to make all the vocabulary cards for this chapter, but was able to get them all defined.
Today Sophie and I transitioned from chemistry to macromolecules. We talked about the four major types of molecules: Carbohydrates, Lipids, Protiens, and Nucleic acids. We also reviewed the cell and how it works.
