Sam practiced completing several problems on an EOC Algebra 1 Test. He worked on solving word problems involving 2 equations and 2 unknowns, finding percentages, and simplifying radical expressions.
Assignment: Complete the EOC Algebra 1 Test for homework.
2-1 Slope – Cameron practiced finding the slope from a pair of points. He labeled the first set of points as the coordinates (x1, y1) and the second set of points as (x2, y2). Then he practiced using the formula for the slope:
m = (y2 – y1) / (x2 – x2). Next he practiced finding the y-intercept by substituting a point on the line and the slope into the point-slope form of a linear equation.
Assignment: Complete the assigned problems for homework.
Andrew completed several exercises from the ixl website, evaluating numerical expressions involving integers. Since he was having stomach issues, Andrew spent about 40% of class time in the bathroom.
2-1 Slope – Sam practiced finding the slope from a pair of points. He labeled the first set of points as the coordinates (x1, y1) and the second set of points as (x2, y2). Then he practiced using the formula for the slope:
m = (y2 – y1) / (x2 – x2). Next he practiced finding the slope from the graph of a line. First he looked at the eight linear graphs and determined whether the graph of each line was positive or negative. Then he located two points on the line and labeled them as (x1, y1) and (x2, y2). Then he used the slope formula as he did before.
Assignment: Complete the assigned problems for homework.
2-1 Slope-Intercept Form – We reviewed the steps to graph a linear equation from the slope-intercept form. Then we reviewed the steps to find the equation of the line in slope-intercept form from a graph.
