Ben arrived late at school today. We were to practice for his Alphabet quiz and for some of his other upcoming quizzes and tests.

Cam and I reviewed briefly, discussed his grade from last quarter, spoke about some language experiences that he has had with his boxing coach, and spoke of two upcoming graded assignments.

Cam and I then discussed his understanding of some paragraphs that he read while he was out that in English would be called Who works?

Ben and I reviewed the subject pronouns in Spanish.

We reviewed the conjugations of ser in the present.

He used different Spanish words meaning you to choose how he would address different parties of people.

He used different forms of ser to complete a paragraph written in Spanish.

His ability to do this task seemed to improve greatly during our session. It could have been in response to a small break that we took mid exercise or just increasing familiarity with the process.

David went through his notecards for the week before the break.

He was able to tell me the English translation for almost every card with minimal help from me. Great job David!

He then went through his notecards for this week. We discussed them as he went.

We reviewed the material that we covered before the break.

We then went forward with new questions and discussion about the material.

This was one of David's best sessions of the year for my class.

He got almost every question correct on his very first attempt.

Nico made some notecards for the verbs that we have learned up to this point.

We then discussed verbs and pronouns.

Nico was presented with a list of pronouns in Spanish. He copied them down and then was asked a series of questions about them.

Kaitlin and I created 10 notecards for her to prep for her verb mastery test.

I showed her the way that I expect her to go through her notecards at the start of each one of our sessions. We discussed the point value for this assignment.

We then spoke about well-being in Spanish. We introduced the subject by reading sentences in Spanish and discussing images.

David and I discussed the proper format for him to follow for his exam corrections.

We reviewed his notecards.

He scored a 100%.

We made his new notecards.

Absent - Cam and I were to prepare for his Chapter 3 test

Ben was given a quiz today on articles.

He did great on the quiz.

We then worked together to use the verb ser to complete an incomplete paragraph.

Kaitlin and I went over her graded test.

We looked at the answers that she gave and why they were correct or not.

We discussed what she should do for next time.

We made a study guide from her test of things that she should work on between now and the final exam.
