Great session today... we used the timer while playing chess. Kelsey said it added a different element to the game. We ended looking at defensive approaches.
Ben showed me a game. We looked at MIT Scratch and discussed basic coding. Ben said he was familiar with the program and would like to design a simple game.
Sebastian was excited to continue working on his movie script. We discussed adding the five senses into his writing. We finished looking at different popular screen writers and the directions their films take.
Today we discussed how to begin coding for a video game. We talked about the basic commands and how to apply a forever loop and the functions each loop offers.
Cabo was interested in learning about classical composers. We talked about Beethoven's accomplishments as well as his tragedies. Cabo was fascinated that Beethoven went deaf at the age of eighteen, yet continued to write music.
Christopher and I will work on reshaping the head for his clay sculpture. Christopher will be given the tools to reshape the ears for his Wolverine clay sculpture. Christopher will place the ears on the head of his clay figure and use the clay tools to smooth all out the ears. Once Christopher has placed the ears in the right position, he will use the clay tools to define the mouth and eyes of his clay sculpture.
