Emma and I went over facts about the exam, and looked at some sample questions. We also did some research online looking for another course project idea.
Emma had completed her assignment of the Free Response questions from 2014. We went through and corrected her answers, making sure that she would be able to answer a similar question correctly in the future.
Assignment
Look up solutions at the College Board website. Prepare questions for me for our next session.
Emma and I started Chapter 7 today. We reviewed some essential background concepts, then built on those to understand what a sampling distribution is, and how they are useful. We also discussed unbiased estimators and worked through several sample homework exercises.
We collected a few more observations for the two project surveys. I also helped Emma to decide on a quantitative data question for Course Project #3. I gave her an idea and asked her to decide and write the Project Proposal as homework.
We went to the Publix shopping center at PGA Blvd. and US-1 to conduct the Waist-to-Hip Ratio in an attempt to increase the number of male responses in her sample. It was not very busy, thus we were only able to collect 7 responses. We made the decision and began the process to continue the survey via social media, email, and Survey Monkey.
