Gwendolyn cried this morning and refused to go to class with her teacher - Bob Morris left her in my room. Tried to follow our usual routine but Ellen kept trying to get Gwen to go with her. Finally, I told Gwen and Anna that they could play Candy Land while I worked with the boys. Ellen kept insisting that Gwen should go to read with her. I gave up and just put all the kids together for snack. Ellen kept insisting all through snack that Gwen and her would go to the pink room after snack to do a special project - Gwen kept looking at me pleadingly so I asked Gwen if she would like Anna to go with her, no. So, at last I asked Ellen if she could do the project with all the kids - she spent the next 70 minutes at the table doing a bar graph with them -then she read to them for 15 minutes. I took them outside to play for a few minutes. They were all tired after lunch but I was able to get them to practice printing numbers 1-3 on primary paper. Then we all did a 50 piece puzzle together and built a village for Anna's stuffed rabbit.
