Oliver took a little time to settle down, and needed to be reminded the importance of being a good listener. Everyone was enthusiastic to learn.
Calendar, Easter Songs, Passover Book, Introduced printing on primary paper instead of large printing strips. Everyone did well with numbers 1 and 2 and their first initial. (Stephen is still struggling to overcome his habit of gripping pencil with all four fingers, but he is trying). 25 piece puzzles. Reviewed ovals and all shapes -made shape pictures - Quinn/Anna - beginning, middle, and end of a story- illustrated and dictated a 3-part story. Stephen/Oliver blending two sounds. Discussed types of eggs - difference of amphibian, insect and fish eggs. Sorted animal eggs into groups -birds,Reptiles, fish, amphibians, insects
Calendar, printed numbers 20, 30, 40 - introduced 50-59 and printed, counted groups of 50-59 objects, divided them into even or odd groups - counted paper money for how many fives and tens make fifty - introduced that four groups of 25 make 100 and two fifties make 100. Designed and painted and colored paper Easter Eggs. Introduced shape 'oval' - what else besides eggs are oval - oval object tracing worksheet - cutting oval eggs for a board game. Anna/Quinn vowel review. Stephen/Oliver introduced concept of blending two sounds together to make nonsense words. Science - read about animals that are hatched from eggs - worksheet matching animal to correct egg.
Calendar, Anna/Quinn- introduced the term 'vowel' and that every word has at least one. Memorized which letters are vowels - looked at words and counted how many vowels in each.
Printed words for medial 'i,a,o' words next to illustrations on worksheet. Stephen/Oliver- printing review of /Cc,Oo,Gg/ on initial sound worksheet. Played Lizard Initial sound board game. Played Spanish Animal Bingo. Stephen and Quinn asked how much water could a jeep or car drive through? Discussed why water probably couldn't be higher than the engine. Went outside and measured engine heights of sports car, car, van, delivery truck, jeep, Hummer, etc. - made a graph of heights in inches to determine which could go through deepest water.

Listening Center-independently listened to 'Big Red Dog's Easter, and did comprehension worksheet.

Oliver/Quinn - play money - counting how many five and ten dollar bills to make $100, $200, etc. Time for Kids - weather watch-difference between a tornado, hurricane, blizzard - watched videos of each one on Youtube.
