Oliver absent. Calendar, Today was Anna and Quinn's last day so we celebrated St. Patrick's day.
A leprechaun left a trail of real shamrocks for us to follow to find clues that would help us find his black pot, Inside the pot we found shamrock pencils, a bag of gold coins, gold nugget candy, shamrock cookies, and magical dust with a recipe for magical leprechaun pudding, We used the pencils to practice printing. Then everyone followed the recipe to make their individual bowls of leprechaun pudding. Discussed what chemical reaction made it turn green and why stirring it helped it thicken. Made leprechaun necklaces. Dressed up like leprechauns and delivered goodies to the other students. Counted groups of 10-50 gold coins. Added groups of coins to make fifty. Divided 50 coins into two piles to find half of fifty and see if 50 is odd or even. Glued the real shamrocks on poster board to create bookmarks and decorated and laminated them. Played St.Patrick's Day matching games, word search, and counting games on kids heart.com Read them a book about different types of leprechauns,
