Reviewed all word flashcards - reviewed double 'l' at end of word, Introduced double 's' at the end of a word -practiced printing any specific letters they are individually finding difficult. Made get well cards for Julie.
Anna and Quinn brought blankets to school and asked if they could build a fort. We had to add some sheets so it was also big enough for Oliver. It went from a fort- to a car shed- to a castle. Calendar. Counting to five in Spanish. Worksheets: addition and matching words to pictures. Read them the book 'Fiesta Time'. Explained to them what Mexican jumping beans are and how kids play with them, watched a video on youtube. Did a Mexican Jumping Bean relay. Listened to Mexican hat dance music "El Jarabe Tapatio" and learned the dance and used their handmade maracas. Played 'Pelotas en la Canasta' (Balls in a basket) and Piñata. Put together a 100 piece puzzle of a piñata. Oliver brought Fiesta cupcakes. We discussed the weather in Mexico.
