In today’s class, we continued talking about the early stages of life, beginning with when a sperm meets an egg. We talked about how implantation occurs and how a zygote becomes an embryo which then turns into a fetus. We talked about how the cells within the organism differentiate and become specialized cells that have unique functions.

Andrew was absent from my class today. We will continue on tomorrow!
In today’s class, we started our introduction into the various stages of development, growth, and genetics in general. We began talking about the first stages of life when sperm first meets and penetrates an egg. We talked about how the fertilized egg travels down the Fallopian tubes and implants into the uterus. We concluded by talking about how transmutations can cause genetic mutations early on (such as Down syndrome).
In today’s class, we reviewed what Andrew has learned so far in Anatomy and Physiology. Mainly, we recapped the skeletal system, going over what comprise bones, what their functions are, and how they change over time. We ensured we were comfortable with everything we learned so far in general and that all questions were answered.

This was my real first class back with Andrew, so I wanted to take the class time and just go over what he has and has not learned and figure out where to go from here. Great class - very happy to have Mr. Andrew again!
In today's class, we would have discussed an introduction into the skeletal system. We would have begun with what bones are, what they are composed of and why, and how they help us move and interact with everyday life. We also would have discussed shape and length and why they differ as well.

Andrew was absent due to having a meeting with a college advisor.
In today’s class, we discussed and watched two Crash Course videos on the urinary system. These introductory videos begin to explain the basic concepts of the urinary system and how exactly it functions and for what purpose. Andrew filled out an activity that went along with the videos.

Great class with Andrew. Sorry for the delay in upload of this session summary!
Andrew was encouraged to draw a part of human anatomy he has studied and identify, via illustration, the anatomical features. He chose an eye about which to focus and illustrate.

As Chris was absent today, Monday, 4-15-24, I was asked to sub for Dan from 10:34 - 11:19. As no sub plans were available, I got creative with my lesson and tapped upon Andrew's interest in art and combined it with his work in anatomy class.
