Anatomy & Physiology
Session Date
Lesson Topic
Immune and Lymphatic Systems
Lesson Outline
During today's session, we watched a video related to the chapter that we have been working on. Lena was very interested in seeing how the concepts that she has copied in her notes actually are a reality in the body and how the immune system protects us against infections.

Endocrine system introduction
Lesson Outline
Differentiate between the type of response seen in the nervous system and the response in the endocrine system.
Describe the secretions as hormones and the glands as ductless.
Hormones are secreted into the capillary beds surrounding the glands.
Define "target organs" and use examples to show the effect is widespread to all cells and tissue.
Using a series of "patients" with varying endocrine disorders, derive the function(s) performed by the glands.
