Concentrate on the anatomy and physiology of the human circulatory system. Discuss the structure and function of arteries. Introduce the cardiac arteries, how they supply the cardiac muscle with oxygen, nutrients, and chemicals. Discuss the affect of arteriosclerosis on the heart muscle. Use diagrams to indicate the areas of damage to the heart muscle based on how large the artery is which is blocked.

Analyze why larger multi-celled organisms require a closed system. Discuss what substances are transported by the blood.Examine diagrams of each system for comparison. Examine a four chambered heart and compare it to a 3 chambered heart, and discuss the physiological difference.
