Use pictures and images to discuss the anatomy and physiology of arteries and compare to veins. Discuss the flow of blood in each, the need for valves in veins, and the makeup of the blood carried by each type of vessel. Shpw how capillaries connect between arteries and veins.

Concentrate on the anatomy and physiology of the human circulatory system. Discuss the structure and function of arteries. Introduce the cardiac arteries, how they supply the cardiac muscle with oxygen, nutrients, and chemicals. Discuss the affect of arteriosclerosis on the heart muscle. Use diagrams to indicate the areas of damage to the heart muscle based on how large the artery is which is blocked.
