Math Play Ground: Danny had a great time being challenged by different games in math playground. He kept at it and defeated most of the challenges he was confronted with. Adding and Subtracting Double Digits: Danny did very well adding and subtracting today. He needs a little work on sign recognition before he starts a problem, but overall he did great. Good job, Danny.
Time: Understanding the minute hand. Danny was shown how to read the minute hand, with 5 minute increments. The example clock had minutes 5, 10, 15, 20... shown next to each number on the clock for Danny to see. After practicing he read 1:15, 12:35, 4: 20, etc. Great job, Danny, you're so smart. Analog Time: Danny is beginning to get the idea of analog time. He sees the affect of the minute hand now. We use a large children's clock with movable hands and large numbers. His response is improving as we compare digital time to analog time. Great going, Danny
Analog Time: Danny was introduced to analog time using the minute hand. He knows hour time easily. Today he was introduced to applying the effects of minute hand. He is getting it slowly, it will take a few lessons for deeper understanding. Later, he was on Mathplayground.com for a short time, which he enjoys doing. I am very proud of you, Danny.
Math: Danny worked on Mathplaygound.com for logic games that are fun and that he enjoys. The challenges are beneficial to students using logic, sequencing, patterns, and discipline required in math. Great job, Danny.

Examples: 7+1,saying 7 and 1 more. 7-1, saying 7 take away 1. He got it easily. Good going, Danny.
Subtraction: Danny did a good job today subtracting. He was shown 8 bears in a row and 3 were taken away. He would say, 8 take away 3 is 5. He continued with a group of single digit problems on paper, he did a super job on each one. He would refer to the - sign as, take away. I am very proud of you, Danny.
