Gracyn completed her morning work and writing activity. Then we watched a video on recycling. We saw what happens to recycled materials like paper, boxes, cans, glass, and plastic. It was a really cool video. We completed her Earth Day worksheet where she had to list things she could reduce (water when brushing her teeth), reuse (cups), recycle (cans and water bottles), and ways to help the Earth (turn off TV). We read two books in Raz Kids to make up for yesterday's Skype. We ended the day in Bible learning about Moses.

Gracyn wrote a four sentence informational paragraph today. She wrote about how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. She used the words first, next, and last in her paragraph. She did a great job and I am very proud of her writing.

Gracyn began her day by writing her spelling words. Next we completed her morning work together. In writing she had to write about something that makes her happy. She wrote that watching her daddy play baseball makes her most happy.
We had a little trouble with Skype. So our session was a little short.

Student is away and will be working on Level A books and comprehension worksheets that were given to her. Arianna also has a Kindergarten workbook book to continue practicing her letters and sound skills. Reading eggs can be done daily on computer or tablet to continue with word families and literacy skills.
Arianna is doing Skype today and will work on reading a story and going over letters.

Arianna and I read Six Hogs on a Scooter and Mr. Brown can Moo today. She loved the books! We talked about the characters and her favorite part of the book. In Math we watched a few counting songs on counting by 2s and 1s to 100. In Science we learned about Earth Day and the importance of recycling.
