Part 1 & 2 reviewed. Jamie's Food Revolution combines the ambitions of both Jamie's Ministry of Food and Jamie's School Dinners and exists to tackle the obesity epidemic in America.
The campaign seeks to educate people about food and cooking, address the quality of the food served in school lunch halls and inspire food retailers to provide good quality, fresh, local food to their customers.
At the white board, students reviewed the Pythagorean Theorem and its converse. They applied the Theorem to find the third side of a right triangle, given the two other sides. They used the converse and its corollaries to determine if a triangle was right, obtuse or acute.
Get people up to date on what they need to do. Divide up vocab by chapter. Model how to circle unknown vocab words. Encourage students to write in their books. If I talk about a certain passage, they need to underline or bracket it. Talked about note-taking skills in a literature class. You don't just follow along, you get active and make sure you hae a record of which places the teacher has talked about.

Ashley is the only one who is remotely up to date with her reading and work. Devinis workin on it at home. I hope Sadie is too.
Start with open-ended question quiz on the two chapters. THen discuss specific scenes in the chapters. Discuss meaning and significance of long, boring list of names (the denote old money vs. new money). Examine metaphor: he dispensed starlight to common moths.

We reviewed the Pythagorean Theorem, then I had him do some problems on the board, and then I did some more difficult ones using the theorem, with him guiding me through it.
Reviewed food vocabulary briefly and used Bell Work activity from pg. 246 to have students put in the correct word into the blanks of the given sentences. Discussed other terms used with food like waiter (el mesero), tip (la proina), pedir (to order)
