Ashley and I read the next chapter of the Alejandro Adventures book - Chapter 9. Once finished, she completed activities A and E that reviewed the chapter.

Played through the 12 bar exercise to further support the work we did in the sixteenth note hi-hat accenting unit. We moved into the next unit that deals with variations on the hi-hat accenting exercises. We also worked on the accented snare drum fill coming out of the verse to Paralyzer.

Start with writing/reflexion exercise. Discussion followed: how is the chapter different from the others? what does Nick think about the East? About rich people? who plans the funeral? why? who comes? what does Nick learn about Gatsby from Mr. Gatz? talk about the breakup with JOrdan? what does she mean by "bad driver?" What does Fitzgerald want us to take away? what is meaning of the last line?

Reviewed chapter 7 - food chapter and wrapped it up. Students completed pg. 266 act 30. Then the students completed the chapter 7 end of chapter activities - pg. 274 act. 1 and 2 and pg. 278 act. 2. Students had to read food labels an aanswer 5 questions that followed.
