I introduced synthetic division as an alternative way of dividing a polynomial by a certain type of binomial. We continued to explore using division (either synthetic or standard long division) as a means of factoring polynomials of degree three or higher. We worked several problems on the white board.

We reviewed the long division process on the white board. Then Sofia did three practice problems from a tutor-prepared work sheet. We discussed how to incorporate the remainder into the quotient.
