Today we had Rory's birthday and the kids enjoyed the flourless cake. We reviewed what we have done during the year and planned what will work in our sessions on skype.
Jackson finished typing up his outline for his research paper. He has begun the research part of the project and has started to take notes from his source material. He tackled the most complex and lengthiest source first, which covers multiple sections of his paper.
We are doing some review of Pre-Algebra as a refresher. I also introduced perfect squares, square roots, perfect cubes, and cubed roots.
Also, for fun, I gave Jackson a set of number sequences with a pattern for him to recognize and continue.
