I subbed for Johanna today, and as she didn't leave any work, I had Blaize work on the paper for my class. He had a lot of trouble getting started but seemed to hit his stride once he stopped trying to avoid working by talking to me.

Blaize again did not finish the reading for class, so I had him finish the book while I waited. We then had a solid discussion about the role Phoebe plays in Holden's life and why she is such an important character. I assigned Blaize on last paper in which he has to compare/contrast himself and Holden Caulfield.

Blaize had read one chapter for class today, so I had him read the next chapter in the half hour class and we talked about Phoebe and Mr. Antolioni in the second class. Blaize did a very good job in our discussion and is doing very well with the book overall.
