Topic 8-3 Find Volume of Cones – We related the volume of cylinders to the volume of cones. We recognize that the relationship between the volumes of prisms and pyramids with the same base and height is the same between the volumes of cylinders and cones with the same base in height. This relationship is generalized to write the volume formula for a cone.

Probability of Successive Events: Method of determining Probability of successive "back to back" events. Multiplication of probabiities when a desired object is not replaced. Various real-life practical examples. Review of homework problems involving probability of successive/consecutive events. Definition of Odds: Number desired divided by number not desired. Aiden understood well the concept of determining Odds as slightly different from Probability. He has good command of the general methods but has recently been making minor errors which has caused to to remind him about the necessity of proofreading/double checking calculations.
