Then we learned that any number raised to the zero power is one and any variable raised to the zero power is one except when the variable is equal to zero.

4-7 Exponents and Multiplication – We continued to work on multiplying powers with the same base. Then we used the Commutative Property of Multiplication to add exponents and simplify. Next, we learned to find a power of a power by multiplying the exponents.
