Today, J Paul worked on his Assignment 1 and selected his topic. We went through the steps of the project and talked about strategy and market potential.
We discussed Assignment 1 which entails creating a Social Venture, designing a survey, collecting and analyzing data and then presenting the findings in a digital format.
J Paul took the first quiz today over chapters 1-3 covering the definitions and opportunities of Social Entrepreneurship. We went over the answers together and discussed the upcoming Assignment 1.
JPaul listed his goals for this year, 5-year goals, and life time goals. Then we discussed creating S.M.A.R.T. goals. Specific: Be specific about what you want to accomplish.
Measurable: Determine what metrics you will use to measure success.
Achievable: Set goals that are attainable.
Relevant: Consider the impact that achieving the goal will have on your business.
Time-bound: Set a timeline that will keep you on track to achieve the goal.
We examined the profile of an Entrepreneur, Pete Frampton, who is the manager of the Learning Enrichment Foundation. J.Paul answered in-class discussion questions and analyzed social aspects of business.
We discussed Modeling The Social Entrepreneurship Process and examined The Timmons Model, PCDO (People, Context, Deal, and Opportunity) Framework, and CASE Model.
