Ashley took a brief quiz on Ch. 4 of Oscar Wao, and we discussed the last half of the Chapter. We discussed the narrator's involvement with the Cabral de Leon family, and whether or not his story about the family was a completely reliable account.

Great lesson. Ashley was successful in moving ahead on this term project.
Ashley and I discussed Ch. 4 of Oscar Wao. We talked about the "narrative within the narrative," and discussed how writing can be constituted as a mimetic device for writers. We also discussed the sociopolitical/economic conditions of the Hispanic community presented within the novel.
Discussed handout on standing poses; practiced locust and revolved side angle with book instructions; intense leg stretches and ab work on foam rollers
Physical properties of metals in terms of metalic bond. Electron sea model.Delocalized elecrons.Define and describe alloys. Some commercially important alloys(composition and uses). Lab: burning magnesiuum and forming magnesium oxide. Discuss the Mg properties.
We started working section 4.2, since it is a long section and the information is important to complete the rest of the chapter, we finished half of it.
