Michael is getting better at using the order of operations with 3 step equations. He has some trouble with exponents (especially operations within exponents). The 4-step problems that I gave him for tonight's homework will be harder than what he has been doing.

Good session. Michael had some difficulty on understanding all of the reading but we worked through it together.

Michael completed the fraction worksheets I gave him on Thursday. He did well on the adding/subtracting page. He had trouble with the multiplying/dividing page (multiplying is fine - he had some trouble with the division though). He did not do the order of operations pages because he didn't understand the directions.

I really enjoyed working with MIchael. We successfully analyzed two of the essays.

Michael has done every assignment that I have asked him to and works hard everyday. He is very pleasant to work with.

Michael did the reading for today, but once again his notes were woefully insufficient. He remembered the general details of the essays, but not the important ideas and overall themes. We spent more time going through them and discussing the best way for him to take notes so he can remember what he reads. We had a good conversation about the material and I think this is a good exercise to help him build his comprehension skills.

Michael struggled with the concepts for his essay. We read the articles aloud and I helped breka down the main ideas for him to include in his essay.
