Mary is doing very well on this section. She is recogonizing tricks that are neeeded to solve the problems. She still needs a little bit of help figuring out the "best" method for simplifying the problems.
She had written about 3 or 4 pages on her second essay. Finished her first essay and submitted it for the art show.
We went outside and we each read silently A Passion in the Dessert by Honore de Balzac and discussed it. She read aloud her second essay.

When she read aloud her second essay to me, I was amazed. It was impressively written and organized with a great deal of thought and detail put into it. I complimented her. I asked her if she used any articles to help her in her writing. She said she worked on it from about 7 – 1:00 on Monday night. She made my day.
