Balance in our lives; balancing poses
Lesson Outline
We discussed balance in our lives, both physical and mental, and practiced balancing poses. We added new poses, based on a handout I prepared with images on a variety of balancing poses. We also talked out Mary's excellent performance at Art Night.

Mary still has not turned in yoga test. We discussed consequences of an incomplete grade. She is planning on turning in test by tomorrow.

Mary seemed unaware of any consequences of not turning in work and receiving an incomplete grade. As far as her yoga practice, Mary has improved a great deal since the beginning of school and has excellent form. She always strives to do her best in the movements and poses.

Assignment
I asked her to carefully edit her second very well written essay and to pay close attention to all the small details of editing…sentence structure and punctuation, etc. I asked her to read the essay aloud while editing. This will help her. I also asked her to work hard on the composition of her third and final essay for the Count of Monte Cristo and have it well developed for Tuesday.
