We talked about the aftermath of WWI.
We read the first pages of the book and identified Lawrence's ideas about men and women, about society and nature.
Mary and I went outdoors and did warm-up stretches with our hoops; then practiced on and off-the-body hooping, arm hooping and tricks. She also updated her "exercise journal."

We both read the critical parts of the text where the Count exacts his revenge. She and I shared our thoughts on the ending of the novel. She has made several interesting analyzes along the way. She also read parts of the unabridged version on her own and will bring it in Tuesday.
We both loved the entire story. Interestingly, she finished Jayne Eyre at the same time and compared them at the end of class…nice.
