Mary had her book today and read. She apologized yesterday for her lack of focus.
I wanted to get back on track today. It just so happens that she was on the critical part of the novel where the Count has his revenge. I had her read out loud so that we could both enjoy the climax of the novel.

Great 2nd lesson. Completed designated topics. Partially completed current events review.

Mary continues to do well in the trig chapter. She seems to understand it better than most things that we have done. However, she is still moving very slowly.

Mary was not in class. I spent the first 45 minutes of class subbing for Sheliagh with the field school students (separate session summary).

She worked hard and did well.

Mary remembered the material for the ceiling, so we were able to finish the project. She worked hard in yoga and hooping. During belly dancing, Mary started feeling ill, so she sat out the end of class.

I decided that it time to talk to Mary. I asked her about last Friday when she went missing. I counseled her on her work ethic, lack of respect and dishonesty I have observed lately.
