Mary started off with one Jane Eyre book. she left it at home and never found it again, so I gave her a new one out of the cupboard. She left that one at home and therefore had no book to work with today. I gave her a writing assignment instead. I told Mary that at this point I am worried about having her take the AP exam because she simply hasn't read enough. I do not want her to have a bad experience.
