We went through the concepts and did sample problems from Ch. 3-1 Review and Preview and 3-2 Measures of Center (Measure of center, arithmetic mean, mean, sample size, sample mean, population mean, summation (capital sigma), standard deviation (lower case sigma), median, mode, bimodal multimodal, no mode, range, midrange, calculating the mean of a frequency distribution, calculating weighted mean).
We went through the difference between the binomial, geometric and poisson distribution.

Again she was 20 minutes late, we were supposed to start at 8:15 and she came in at 8:35 completely stressed about her phone that her mother took away. She could not focus at all and is not prepared for this test. She did not listen to me about practicing the problems. Her mother wants me to be responsible for her practicing at home, yet does not want to do anything to check on that. Her grades have not been the best because she cannot focus, and doesn't practice enough.
We went through sample problems on hypothesis testing to prepare her for her test on Tuesday. I suggested that she do a few more examples this weekend before continuing to practice on Monday to allow the information to sink in (since there are multiple pieces and steps to hypothesis testing).
We went through sample problems in Statistics dealing with Discrete Probability Distribution. She needs to go through some practice problems that I suggested in the book to help solidify the information.
We went through the basics of the Binomial Probability Distribution, Geometric Distribution and Poisson Distribution. We did a couple of example problems on creating probability distributions and calculating the mean, variance and standard deviation.
We covered Ch. 2-1 Review and Preview (Center, Variation, Distribution, Outliers, Times); Ch. 2-2 Frequency Distributions (Frequency distribution, lower class limits, upper class limits, class boundaries, class midpoints, class width, relative frequency distribution, cumulative frequency distribution); Ch. 2-3 Histograms (Histograms, relative frequency histogram, bell-shaped distribution, skewness, right and left skew, normal distribution); Ch. 2-4 Graphs That Englighten and Graphs That Deceive (Graphs that enlighten, correlation coefficient, clusters and gaps, time-series graph, dot plots, stem plots, bar graphs, Pareto plots, pie charts, frequency polygon, ogive; graphs that deceive [nonzero axis, pictographs).
We went through some concepts that will be on her test today in probability. She definitely needs a bit more practice before the test to solidify some of the concepts.

We went through multiple examples and concepts with probability, The Addition Rule, Multiplication Rule, Conditional Probability, the "probability of at least one," and basic probability. She needs to go through the multiplication rule and "probability of at least one" a bit more to get it down and solid.
