Baylie completed a session on map skills. She had to locate and identify various bodies of water, rivers, nations, capitals, land forms, and boundaries of countries in Asia. The final part of the lesson was devoted to reviewing explorers and significant people in Asia and Europe. Another excellent session for Baylie.
We reviewed a few problems left over from homework and then Baylie began her quiz on chapter 11 sections 2-5 (Parts A & B). She should complete and submit this quiz to her teacher by later today.

Baylie struggled a bit with problems learned in previous classes but quickly regained momentum after a short review. She has a quiz to complete and submit which should be handled with little difficulty, and I let her know I was available by phone if needed.
Baylie completed the chart on the effect of missions in China, Japan, Korea, and Indonesia. She completed the chapter checkup on these countries. For the final aspect of the lesson Baylie answered a concept question about the major religions in Asia. Baylie is a hard working student.
Baylie and the instructor discussed God's relationship with the Earth and mankind. She read several scripture passages and responded to questions from her text.
We worked on solving multivariable equations using modification and substitution or elimination strategies.

Baylie read about Japan, Korea, and Indonesia. As she read about each of these countries she took notes and completed a chart to help her remember the facts she learned.

Due to technical problems the session was cut short by eight minutes.
After opening with prayer, Baylie read Topic 1: Naturalism - Carl Sagan. She then answered essay questions and T/F questions. She had to justify her T/F answers by referencing corresponding Bible verses.
We spent the session outlining and writing Baylie's cause and effect essay. She found outside sources and quotes for support of her thesis. We discussed the elements of a high level argument essay and applied them as she wrote.
