13-1 Graphing Quadratic Functions – We learned that the axis of symmetry is helpful for determining which elements of the domain to choose when graphing a function. Then we learned that the maximum or minimum value of a quadratic function is always the y-coordinate of the point of intersection of the graph of the function and its axis of symmetry.
Read Book on Armor by P Shriver (student edition) and Morgan looked up and read biblical passages that answered questions on the importance of prayer as part of the armor of God as it activates the armor.
Today Morgan completed her spelling list 10 assessment. She scored a 95%, only missing suburban. We then continued working on the poet presentations from her classmates. We viewed the Google Slides for Robert Frost, William Carlos Williams, James Whitcomb Riley, and began Maya Angelou. Morgan was excited to see a familiar poem “When the Frost is on the Punkin” by James Whitcomb Riley. She delightfully read the text, joyfully recalling how the 5th graders at school get to present this poem wearing farmer clothes instead of Pilgrim attire at their school program. An activity she had performed in 5th grade and her sister had just done this past fall. We worked together to take relevant notes along the way.
