We began our session with a practice spelling test of list 10. Morgan’s modified test presents her with three versions of the same word and she chooses the correct spelling. She scored a 15/20 missing the words: surmise, susceptible, undernourished, unpredictable, and unsanitary. We discussed a few tricks to help with these words and Morgan will write each 3 times for extra practice. Next, Morgan answered comprehension and analysis questions from her reading of chapter 8 in The Hiding Place. She utilized the text for evidence as needed.

Morgan and I practiced spelling words for her test tomorrow. I showed her how to break the words down to help her spell. We also practiced functions in Math, showed her where she needs to slow down and what mistakes she's making.
9-5 Functions – We learned how to determine whether a given relation is a function either by a vertical line test or mapping the domain to the range. We learned to calculate functional values for a given function. Then we completed most of the assigned homework.
