Chapter 10 Mid-Chapter Review – We practiced finding the equation of a line from a point and the y-intercept. Then we found the equation of a line from two points. Next we wrote the standard form of an equation of a line given the slope and a point on the line.

This morning we reviewed the adverbs practice activity that Morgan completed yesterday. We discussed the errors she had, which mostly involved missing the prepositional phrases. Next, we read chapter 10 in her novel study, The Hiding Place. This 20-page chapter discussed what life was like in prison for the main character. We read together working on fluency, expression, and decoding when necessary. We discussed the events of the chapter and how it must have felt for Corie. Morgan then answered follow-up questions as presented by her home instructor. Finally, we looked over Morgan’s study guide pages on several poets using the notes she took during the presentations. She needs to complete two more in preparation for her quiz.
We reviewed for Morgans' Bible Test using the Bible to locate the answers and complete the study guide. She did a great job and is always a joy to teach!

This session was so much fun. Morgan picked up the steps so quickly. She was able to go through 8-10 sequential steps without difficulty. We really enjoyed dancing and it was a good workout in the process.
Complete the poet study guide on each poet presented by the class. We completed the study guide for Maya Angelou, James Riley, and Sylvia Plath. Morgan used her notes from the class presentation to complete the study guide.
