Nicholas sounds like he is catching a cold. He was sluggish and didn't want to work.
Dillon seems to have had a restful and enjoyable school break. He seems relaxed and ready to tackle the FSA next week. In our session, we reviewed test-taking strategies. He also completed a practice session. The practice session covered author's purpose, informational text features, and word usage. He did a great job, correctly answering 15 of 17 questions. Dillon has worked hard to prepare for this exam and is starting to feel more confident in his abilities.

Gabbie was slow getting started, and I had to threaten that she wouldn't be able to play with Rudolph. She did very well on her spelling words. She enjoyed repeating The Lorax with me because of the play they did at school.

Nicholas did not want to read, so I had to do different activities between his readings. He is very creative with ideas like "making a video."
We began the lesson with some math. We then read from Jayne's selected book of choice, "Jennie B. Jones is Almost a Flower Girl." It went very well as Jayne is delightful both in and out of the classroom.
