Teddy reviewed the rules of grammar before this session and it definitely showed. His recognition of the rules and how they are applied improved, but he still needs to review and study the rules consistently until he takes the test.
In terms of scoring, Teddy has made great strides of improvement. However, he hasn't reviewed the rules of grammar in a while, and consequently, even though he's getting more answers correct, he can't cite the rules or reasons for why he's choosing the answers. He can get away with that for a while, but if his score will be much higher if he know's the rules and recognizes how they are used.

Session went well. While I think Teddy has improved with his Geometry, he is still probably average at best when it comes to geometry. He has difficulty correctly answering a problem solely on his own.
I had Teddy do a practice essay today so he could get used to writing with the time limit. Again, he is a solid writer, but he needs to focus on prepping the essay before he starts to write it. In this particular case, he did not address the question and instead strayed off topic. He needs to take his time and focus on the formula for writing I gave him. With practice he should be ok.
We were on skype this morning so I decided to go back and review the grammar section. Eventhough he hasn't thought about the grammar rules for the last couple of weeks, Teddy did a great job with the questions. He has a tendency to over think questions, which is whey I encouraged him to review the rules every couple of days to make sure he has them down pat. I was very pleased with his performance.
Today we focused on writing the essay. Teddy is a solid writer but needs to work on writing for the formula of the test. He doesn't do much in terms of pre-writing which is something he must do for this. We went through how to set up his ideas, and the basic outline for how he wants to write it.
We started working on reading comprehension today. Teddy is a solid reader, but needs to improve his skim reading/finding the main idea. The key to the ACT reading test is speed. The better he gets at that, the more questions he'll be able to answer.
