We made it through 7 pages of his 5th grade math workbook. We briefly talked about what he needs to do to finish his Percy Jackson book series. He needs to finish book III, which I left with him because his copy hadn't arrived yet.
John Michael and I continued to work on his Summer Mathematics Review book which includes the following topics: fractions, decimals, percents, probability, reading tables and charts, multiplication of larger numbers, place value, and division.
John Michael and I continued to work through the lessons in his Summer Mathematics Review book. Among the subjects were fractions, decimals, all operations, measurement, probability, geometry and word problems. He stated that he remembered that he was given a choice regarding his reading assignment: either a book report or an online assessment. He stated that he intends to complete the online assessment, so he will not have to complete a book report after all.

John Michael and I worked on a variety of topics presented in 5th grade math including: adding, subtracting and multiplying fractions, conversion of fractions, calculating elapsed time, number puzzles, customary and metric measurement, long division with two digit numbers, and checking operations by using reverse operations.
