Communities/Nouns
Lesson Outline
Today I introduced the difference between living communities (urban, suburban and rural). I showed Patrick a powerpoint with examples of each community. We discussed the major differences.

Next I introduced nouns as words that discuss people, places and things. Then we looked at pictures of rural communities, picked out nouns and sorted them in a double t-chart. Patrick really seemed to understand the concept of a noun. We will continue Friday with suburban and urban communities.

2)Count on to find the sum

We practiced this with red and yellow and then using 2 different colors on paper to represent each number in the addition problem.
