Lesson Outline
Patrick completed 5 modules in keyboarding today. His accuracy averaged 80%. He did very well and is now working on slowing down to accurately type each word. Patrick continued his Fast ForWord program. He played 4 different brain games. We are using different strategies in order to improve his skills and scores. Patrick participated in a group activity with his peers during his LB session. He listened to a read aloud, Eight Crazy Nights, which is a rhyming book. He learned about some of the traditions of Hanukkah and sang a song with his peers. They all created their own menorahs using paper, glue, and beans to reinforce their knowledge of the jewish celebration. Patrick and his group understand that a menorah has eight candles which celebrate the miracle of the oil that lasted for eight nights. Patrick did a great job today.

Lesson Outline
Today Patrick completed an activity in his workbook about a flightless bird. He had to create a mental picture of the story after rereading it. Then he chose the correct main idea and details. Next Patrick answered higher order thinking questions. We discussed and practiced answering questions in complete sentences. This took some practice and we will continue to revisit this concept. Patrick also reviewed definitions of contractions and apostrophe usage. He did a great job.

Lesson Outline
Substitute for Heidi- Today I substituted from 8:45-9:30 with Patrick. He did keyboarding on his TTRS program. He completed 5 modules. His accuracy was not as good as usual, ranging from 67%-95% on all modules today. I think he was out of practice from the week break, but he improved as time went on. It was so nice to see Patrick after the break and I was happy to hear his puppy is feeling better.
