Using Addition to Subtract; adding in any order
Lesson Outline
Patrick completed lesson 4.7; using addition to subtract, using the whole and part that were provided. He is getting the hang of always starting with the largest number while subtracting, and is beginning to understand the concept that the number is largest before you take a part away. He easily grasps the concept of generating related addition and subtraction facts for a given fact.

V/V
Lesson Outline
Today Patrick engaged in both a picture to picture and a word imaging activity. I did not ask choice/contrast questions in order to prepare him for future steps. Next week he will begin the next step of the V/V process. He did a great job eliciting a perfect gestalt for both pictures. He is learning to use more descriptive words in his work. Great job, Patrick!

Keyboarding/VV/Fast ForWord
Lesson Outline
Patrick performed very well today in keyboarding. He began a new lesson in Level 9 Stage 1. He learned to use keys Z and X and continued drills to practice all other keys. He looks forward to this class, and I am so glad that it makes him happy. I think because it easy for Patrick to see the progress he's made it is rewarding to him. We spent a little extra time in this class today to try to get to a certain point where it was good to leave off. In Fast ForWord he completed 4 brain games in his program. His progress will be in his weekly report sent out on Friday through SciLearn.

Lesson Outline
In Patrick's V/V program he did a picture to picture activity and a word imaging picture. He is doing a great job and using more descriptive words to verbalize what he sees. The goal is to master these steps and then overlap into the sentence by sentence step of V/V. He described a picture of two puppies playing with a ball and a picture of a whale, which he did not have right in front of him. in Patrick's FF program today he completed 21/2 brain games, as snacktime ran over into some of his time.
