Today I met John Michael for the first time. We worked on his homework. There was a division worksheet that he had to complete. We spoke about the acromnym DMSB and how to use it for long division: divide, multiply, subtract, bring down. We worked together to use the multiplication table to find the correct numbers for the quotient. Next, we worked on re-writing a story that he had been working on in school. I helped him to spell some words correctly.
